Mrs. Anastasia "Annie" Hanlin, 86, of Braselton, GA, formerly of 1512 - 25th Ave. Altoona, went home to be with the Lord at 6:26 PM, Friday, December 12, 2014 at New Horizons Limestone, Gainesville, GA. after an extended illness.
Mrs. Hanlin was born in Altoona, Pa. on October 17, 1928, daughter of the late John and Viola D. (Charras) Arseniu. She married James Joseph "JJ" Hanlin June 26, 1948 in Cumberland, MD. He died September 17, 2005.
She was a Homemaker.
She was a member of Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrement Altoona, PA.
Annie attened Garfield Elementry School and graduated from Altoona High School. She lived her entire life in Altoona and her life was built around her family. She loved to cook, watch her stories and go shopping with her best friend, Eleanor Fisher.
She is survived by 2 son John Hanlin of Hermitage, Pa. and Terry R. (wife Jeanne) Hanlin, of Braselton, GA. 3 siblings Gloria Cohen of Denver, Colorado, Judy (husband Jerry) Parson and Nicholas Arseniu, both of Altoona, Pa. "Annie" is survived by two grandsons Alexander J. and Shawn A. Hanlin and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her youngest son Kevin, a sister Libby Gregory and two bother Jim and Charlie Arseniu.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, December 19,2014 at Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Altoona, Pa.
Committal Rites will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Alttona, Pa.
Friends will be received Thursday from 3-7 PM at Jones Funeral Home where a Vigil For the Deceased will be held during the visitation.
