Anne Mauk

Mrs. Anne Virginia Mauk, 90 of Altoona, Pa formerly of Bellwood died Monday, November 18, 2019, at UPMC-Altoona after an extended illness.

Mrs. Mauk was born in Altoona, Pa on April 28, 1929, daughter of the late William Francis and Myrtie Marian (Hetrick) Crowl. She married Rex Allen Mauk Sr. August 2, 1952 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Altoona. He preceded her in death July 17, 1989.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church Bellwood, Pa.

Mrs. Mauk was a 1948 graduate of Altoona Catholic High School. She was a member of AARP, Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary and Paralyzed Veterans of America, volunteer at Blair Senior Services, and Blair-Clearfield Association For the Blind. She also enjoyed her grandchildren, gardening, cooking, walking, reading, playing cards, life and all of her friends.

Anne is survived by 5 children Mary Jo (Geraid) Oswalt of Altoona, Rex Allen (Bonnie) Mark Jr. of Sinking Valley, Tyrone, Pa; Wanda (Gregg) Otto, of El Paso, TX; Brenda Ann (Robert) Wilkinson of Lakeland, FLA; and William W. (Jennifer) Mauk of Bellwood, Pa. Mrs. Mauk was survived by 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 Great Great Granddaughter she was preceded in death by twins and a granddaughter Allison Wilkinson and 5 siblings, James Crowl, tom Crowl, Robert Crowl, William Crowl and M. Jeanne Collins.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, November 21, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bellwood, Pa with Fr. Alan Thomas Celebrant.

Committal Rites will be held at Alto Reste Park Altoona, Pa.

Friends will be received from 5-8 PM Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Jones Funeral Home where a Vigil For the Deceased will be celebrated at 4:30 PM.
