Beverly Woodring

Beverly Ann Woodring, age 66, of Altoona, Pa died at 11:24 AM, Wednesday, May 29 ^th , 2019 at Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg, Pa after an extended illness.

Beverly was born in Altoona, Pa on January 23, 1953, daughter of the late Blair and Beatrice (Stannard) Woodring.

She retired in 2015 an Office Manager at Dr. Carolyn Lampard for with 30 years in the medical-dental field.

She was of the Protestant Faith.

Bev was a 1970 graduate of Altoona Area High School. She enjoyed arts, craftes, collecting antiques, home decorating, HGTV, Steelers football, shoveling snow and counseling and consoling other transplant patients. She supported St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Christmas Carol and the American Kidney Foundation. Known for her tender smiled and caring nature, Bev possessed a resilient desire to overcome adversity throughout her life on earth. She faced each obstacle with a gentle stature, yet a strong will, never wavering to misfortune. She would adjust and overcome with her strong will, hard work and discipline. Bev had an incredible will to live. Because of the number of medical conditions she had each doctor was challenged in the strategy for her care. She made them all more skilled and as a result they would become better skilled and become better doctors for the benefit of other patients. Along with her natural strength, Bev possessed a special gift of transforming ordinary objects into something beautiful.

Bev is survived by her Fiance Thomas P. Byrne and 2 Sister Barbara (Chuck) Socey, of Altoona, Pa; and Carol Belin, of St. Petersburg, FL. She was preceded in death by a Sister Dianna J. “Snooky” Woodring.

A Funeral Service will be celebrated at Jones Funeral Home, Altoona, Pa at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 5 ^th , 2019 with Pastor Stewart McClelland officiating.

Committal Rites will be held at Calvary Cemetery Altoona, Pa.

Friends will be received Tuesday, June 4 2019 from 4-7 PM at Jones Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life Reception will be held at Noon on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at the Cattholic War Veterans, 290 Valley Ave. Altoona.
