Carl Drexler Jr.

Mr. Carl W. Drexler, Jr. 65, of Altoona, Pa passed away Sunday, December 20, 2015 at his residence after a battle with caner.

Mr. Drexler was born in Altoona, Pa on June 3, 1950, son of the late Carl W. and Gwendolyn G. (Rogers) Drexler Sr. He married Debra K. Schoening August 10, 2007 in Hollidaysburg, Pa.

He was emploed as a Direct Professional at Skills of Central Pa for 20 years where he enjoyed working with special needs adults.

He had attended Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament Altoona Pa.

He was an avid collector and sports fan. He was a member of American Legion, Freedom Team, US Army and Child Fund International. He was a 1969 graduate Area High School and received a Bachelor of Science Degree fron New York University.

Carl served in US ARMY and was a veteran of Vietnam and The Gulf Wars. He retired in 1994 after 20 years of servuce.

In addition to his wife he is survived by 2 daughters Jessica A. Drexler and Kristina Marie Drexler both of Boise Idaho; former wife Melissa Mercogliano of Albuquerque, NM; step son Andrew J. (Stephanie) Hite, of Altoona, Pa; a sister Mary Louies (Jim) Parker of Delaware; bother Edward E.(Patty) Drexler; George M. (Cookie) Drexler; Frederick J. (Renee) Drexler; Steven J. Drexler, Thomas E. (Shari) Drexler, and Dwight D. (Truby) Drexler all of Altoona, Pa. He is also survived by 2 step granddaughters; Makayla and Makale.

A Funeral Service Outside of Mass will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Jones Funeral Home, Altoona, Pa with Msgr. Robert C. Mazur offciating.

Friends will be received Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 4 -8 PM at Jones Funeral Home.
