Cecelia S. Richardson, 68, of 410 Ninth Street, Altoona died Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at her residence after an extended illness.

She was born in Altoona October 22, 1948, daughter of the late Walter Leo and Ida Belle (Harney) Resig. She married Paul W. Richardson who died June 24, 2015.

She retired as a cashier/housekeeper at Penn State Altoona Campus after twelve years' of service. She was also a cashier at Goodwill Industries.

She attended Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Altoona.

Cecelia was a 1966 graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle High School. She was a huge animal lover and friend of all.

She is survived by three children, Joanna M. Richardson of Columbus, OH; Ian W. Richardson and Michael J. Richardson, both of Altoona; and three brothers Joseph W. Resig of East Freedom; Michael Leo Resig and Edward Walter Resig, both of Altoona.

A Funeral Service Outside of Mass will be held at Jones Funeral Home, Altoona at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2016 with Msgr. Robert C. Mazur officiating.

Committal rites will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.

Friends will be received Friday, December 2, 2016 from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM at Jones Funeral Home.
