Mr. Charles E. "Chuck" Hall, 64, of Altoona, Pa died peacefully, Friday, January 29, 2016 at 10:30 AM at his home after a brief illess.
Chuck was born in Altoona, Pa on June 12, 1951, son of the late Thomas Andrew and Mary Edna (Beck) Hall. He married Vicki R. Murtiff in Altoona.
He retired in 2000 as a truck driver at Hoouor's Dairy with 10 years of service. He was previously employed by various other trucking companies.
He was a member of Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrement Altoona, Pa.
He served in the U.S. Navy and was a combat veteran of the Vietnam War. He received National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Vietnam Service Medal.
Chuck was member of Vietnam Veterans Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Amrerican Legion, Supporter of Wounded Warrior Project and a Lifemember of Concordia Club. He enjoyed collecting coins, visiting battlefields, casinos and playing the lottery.
He is survived by his wife and 4 children Rebecca C. (John) Dinardo, of Middletown, DE; Carla S. (David) Imler, of Altoona, Pa; Cristen M. (Joshua) Dionis, of Altoona, Pa; Curtis M. Friley, of Altoona, Pa; a brother John T. Hall, of Altoona, Pa; Mother - in - Law Charlotte Howard, of Altoona, Pa; Bother - in - Law Richard P. Howard, of Altoona, Pa. Chuck is also survived by 5 grandcgildren Colton, Delaney, Gabrielle, Caleb and Connor.
He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, friend and a deeply caring man.
Chuck's request for cremation has been honored and a Memorial Service will be held at later date at Gettysburg National Military Park as he wished.
