Charles Rumbaugh

Mr. Charles Bruce Rumbaugh, 59, of Tyrone, Pa died after a protracted battle with cancer at 12:16 PM, Monday, January 18, 2016 at UPMC - Altoona.

Bruce was born in Belle Vernon, Pa on September 25, 1956, son of the late Harry M. and Grace L. (Marshall) Rumbaugh. He married Christina A. Mozzoni March 27, 1982 at St. Clare Church, Clairton, Pa.

He retired in 2001 as a Food Sanitarian at Pa. Dept. of Agriculture with 9 1/2 years of service. Previously he worked for USDA as a food inspector for 15 years.

He was a member of Glendale Assembly of God Church Glendale, Pa.

Bruce attended Belle Veernon High School and recieved an Associate Degree in Food Safety from Texas A & M University. He enjoyed spending time with his family, guitars, computers, singing, jamming at the Hope Center in Bellwood, being a handyman and his furry companions Dallis and Rio. He was a past worship leader at Abundant Life Even to the end he never lost his sinse of humor.

He served in the U.S. Navy in the Vietnam War and received the National Defense Service Medal.

Surviving are his wife and daughter Nicole K. (Stephen) Badorrek, of Altoona, Pa; 4 Bothers Richard (Barbara) Marshall, of Roscoe, Pa Kevin (Pamela) Behanna, of Monongehela, Pa; Lawrence (Colleen) Marshall, of Gassport, Pa; and Darran Marshall, of Olathe, Kansas; biological father Paul Marshall. Bruce is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister Carol Biseda.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Pleasant Valley Assembly of God Church, 1001 S 1st St. Altoona, Pa at Noon on Saturday, January 30, 2016 with Pastor Richard Maher officiating.

Friends will be received Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 11:00 AM to Noon at Pleasant Valley Assembly of God Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christina, tp help with funeral expenses, addressed to Pleasant Valley Assembly of God Church, 1001 S. 1st St. Altoona, Pa 16602.
