Deborah G. Fornwalt – Beiswenger, 59, of 7107 S. 74th Drive, Laveen. AZ, formerly of Altoona, died at 7:38 PM, Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, as a result of a fall.
Mrs. Fornwalt – Beiswenger was born in Altoona, Pa on February 1, 1960, daughter of the late Richard Linson and Shirley Ann (Plummer) Rader. She was first married to Jeffry J. Fornwalt who died March 7, 2004 and then to Robert J. “Rob” Beiswemger who died December 14, 2013.
She retired in 2015 as a Medical Secretary at Altoona Regional Hospital Altoona with 32 years of service.
She was a member of Cathedral of the Sacrament Altoona, and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Gila River Indian Reservation in Arizona.
Debbie was a 1978 graduate of Altoona Area High School. She was an active member at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in Altoona and her church, St. John the Baptist on Gila River Indian Reservation, She started Women of the Word Prayer Group For Native American Women in Arizona.
She is survived by two children Rachael A. Fornwalt of Baltimore, MD, and Fr. Athanasius (Richard) Formwalt, of Detroit, MI; five siblings Donna G. Fochler, of Quakertown, Pa; Darlene G. (Steve) Gority, of Altoona, Pa; Douglas G.(Sally) Rader, of Glendale, AZ; Delores G. Rader, of Altoona, Pa and Dana G. Dennis, of Altoona, Pa. Debbie is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister and a bother Dennis Rader and Diana Sprankie and a nephew Breaton Rader.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Altoona with Fr. Athanasius Fornwalt, Celebrant.
Committal Rites will be held at Calvary Cemetery Altoona, Pa.
Friends will be received from 4-8 PM Monday, December 16, 2019 at Jones Funeral Home where a Vigil For the Deceased will be held during the visitation.
