Donna C. Lawruk-Perry, 83, Duncansville, passed away peacefully on Monday, surrounded by her four daughters at Elmcroft of Altoona Senior Living Center, after an extended illness.
She was born in Mineral Point, daughter of the late Howard and Ruth (Nevill) Hale. She was first married to Raymond P. Lawruk, who died May 9, 1981. She then married Arnold R. Perry Jr., who died Sept. 21, 2017.
Surviving are her four daughters: Barbara A. (Dean) Cameron of Jacksonville, Fla., Ramona J. (Brian) Kormanski and Lysa M. (Keith) Knowles, both of Altoona and Sandra J. (Robert) Robinson of Moorestown, N.J.; 12 grandchildren: Raymond, Damon, Luke, Isaac, Simon, Jacob, Kaleb, Kyle, Amanda, Andrew, Adam and Abigail; and one great-granddaughter, Mahina.
She was preceded in death by four siblings.
Donna was a 1954 graduate of Altoona High School. She retired as owner of Lawruk Machine & Tool Co. in 1990, after 20 years of service.
She enjoyed her grandchildren, cooking, bowling, dancing and her friends at Elmcroft. Donna was a very caring person.
Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020, at Jones Funeral Home, Altoona. A funeral service will be celebrated at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, Pastor Mary Emery officiating. A private family committal will be held at the convenience of the family on Friday, Feb. 21, 2020, at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Altoona.
