Donna J. Miller, 82, Hollidaysburg, formerly of Altoona, died Saturday at Garvey Manor Nursing Home, Hollidaysburg, after a battle with dementia.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Richard and Bertha (Greiner) Dale. On July 7, 1958, she married Joseph E. Miller at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Altoona.
Surviving are three children: Joseph Richard “Rick” (Deborah) Miller of York, Mary Jo Smith of Altoona and Dale Edward (Kelly) Miller of Mooresville, N.C.; five grandchildren: Jacob, Meghan and Audra Miller, Lucas Smith and Hannah Mae Miller; two great-grandsons: Jack and Benjamin Ringlein; and two siblings: Nancy Ressler and Dennis Dale, both of Altoona.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Tim Smith; and a brother, Regis Dale.
Donna was a 1955 graduate of Altoona Catholic High School. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Miller was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and of Tops.
Donna enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, shopping and going on beach vacations with her family.
There will be no public visitation due to the COVID-19 virus. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at a later date, with Father James Dugan officiating. Committal rites will be held at Alto-Reste Park. Arrangements are by Jones Funeral Home, Altoona.
