Francis Sutton

Mr. Francis J. “Frank” Sutton, 85, of Altoona, Pa died at 10:40 PM, Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center after an extended illness.

Mr. Sutton was born in Altoona, Pa on August 30, 1933, son of the late Ralph H. and Winifred M. (Cooper-Toole) Sutton.

He retired in 1995 as Community Loan Manager at Community Loan Co Altoona after 40 years of service.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church Altoona, Pa.

Frank was 1951 graduate of Altoona High School. He attended Penn State, Majoring in Business Administration. He was a member of the American Legion and a volunteer for Disabled American Veterans at James E. Van Zandt  VA Medical Center.

He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War.

Frank is survived by Fiancee, Sheila A. Harvey with whom he resided; and a daughter Susan Marie (Raymond C.) Askey, of Altoona, Pa; 2 grandchildren Erica M. (Travis) Lee, of Huntingdon, Pa and Alexander R. (Fiancee Kelley Ramey) Askey, of San Diego, CA; a great grandson Theodore H. “Theo” Lee, of Huntingdon, Pa. Frank is also survived by his cat “Blackie”.

Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM Monday, June 17, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Altoona, Pa with Fr. Lubomir J. Strecok officiating.

Committal Rites will be held at Calvary Cemetery Altoona, Pa.

A private family visitation will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial conteibutions may be made to Central Pennsylvania Humane Society in the name of Frank Sutton 1837 East Pleasant Valley Boulevard Altoona, Pa 16602.
