Herbert Kutruff

Herbert Joseph “Herb” Kutruff, 80 of Altoona died Thursday November 3, 2015 at UPMC Altoona.

He was born January 9, 1935 in Altoona a son of the late Patrick B. and Shirley (McGuire) Kutruff. He married Regina M. Madigan on October 3, 1959 in Ashville.

Surviving are his wife, Regina; four children, Anne Marie and husband Tim Longwill of Altoona, Stephen (Cindy Tippett) Kutruff of Altoona, Rebecca and husband Jeff Knott of Altoona, Michele and husband Blaine Oubre of Flower Mound, TX; ten grandchildren, Cory Kutruff, Kevin and wife Kathryn Longwill, Emily Knott, Douglas Longwill, Deker Ouber, Jessica Knott, Ryan Knott, Randy Longwill, Megan Kutruff, and Renn Oubre.

Herbert was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Kutruff.

Mr. Kutruff was a member of the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament.

He was 1952 graduate of Altoona Catholic High School and went to trade school to receive his master electrician.

He was a U.S. Airforce veteran.

Herb retired in 2001 after 40 years of service as a master electrician for Kutruff Electric.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 4 ^th degree, and the Altoona Community Theatre.

Herb enjoyed playing cards, bowling, hunting, and spending time with his family.
Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday December 6, 2015 at Jones Funeral Home, Altoona. A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday December 7, 2015 at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament with the Reverend Monsignor Robert C. Mazur officiating.
