J. Tromm

J. Arkie Tromm, 64, of Altoona, Pa, died at 9:00 PM, Tuesday, February 9, 2021 unexpectedly at UPMC – Altoona after an apparent heart attack.

He was born in Altoona, Pa on June 3, 1956, son of the late John A. and Donna (Roland) Tromm. He married Peggy M. Flinn June 20, 1992 at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Altoona.

He was West Halls Housing Manager at Penn State University State College, Pa with 25 years of service.

Arkie was a 1974 graduate of Altoona High School and received a Bachelor Degree in Parks and Recreation in 1992 from Penn State University. He was a Life Member of Blue Knob Ski Patrol. He was an avid tennis player, skier and motorcycle racer. He enjoyed his 2 dogs Zoey and Mia.

He is survived by his wife and mother Donna Tromm, of Altoona, Pa; 2 sisters Paula Hajos, of Beltsville, MD; and Cheryl Hamilton of Pensacola, FL.

A Funeral Service will be celebrated at Jones Funeral Home, Altoona, Pa at 7:00 PM on Monday, February 15, 2021 with Rev. Lise Buchanan, niece officiating.

Interment is private at convenience of the family at Calvary Cemetery Altoona, Pa.

Friends will received Monday 5 – 7 PM at Jones Funeral Home.
