Leona Lunger

Mrs. Leona M. Lunger, 85, of Altoona, Pa, died at 3:43 PM, Friday, February 15, 2019 at UPMC – Altoona after a brief illness.

Mrs. Lunger was born in Altoona, Pa on June 19, 1933, daughter of the late Lorenzo and Elizabeth (Natale) Notaro. She married Paul R. Lunger November 28, 1952 in Winchester, VA. He preceded her in death March 15, 2015.

She was a Homemaker.

Leona was a member of Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament Altoona, Pa.

Leona was a graduate of Altoona Catholic High School. She enjoyed collecting 45 RPM records, piano sheet music, playing the piano and watching daytime soap operas.

She is survived by 4 sons Robert P. (Pam) Lunger; David M. Lunger; Douglas E. Lunger, and Glenn T. Lunger, all of Altoona, Pa; A Bother Louis Notaro, of Duncansville, Pa. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Leona was preceded in death by a bother Mike Notaro.

Services are private at the convenience of family.

Committal was at Calvary Cemetery Altoona, Pa.

At the family’s request there was no visitation.
