Mary Mccall

Mary Charlotte McCall, 79, passed away peacefully in her Altoona home on Monday, October 23, 2017. Charlotte was born in Altoona in 1938 to Charles A. and Mary Catherine (Robine) McCall. She was the youngest of their five children.

Charlotte was a beautiful, eclectic and creative soul who loved her family and friends with all of her heart. Her lifelong passion for collecting antiques and unique items created a home that was warm, interesting and inviting. Spending time sitting on her back porch chatting over coffee or tea is a memory that many of us will treasure. She also enjoyed walking in the neighborhood that she loved with her dog Maggie, chatting with neighbors.

Generous, social and gregarious, Charlotte had friends and acquaintances from all facets of her life, who are now sharing in the grief of her passing.

Charlotte is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Albert and Mary Catherine McCall, her sisters Jeanne Donnelly and DeLellis Milliron, brother Raymond McCall, and her daughter Christina Hughes Purcell.

She is survived by her brother Charles R. (Bob) McCall, sister-in-law Shirley (Luke) McCall of Chesterton, IN, her daughters Monique of Lambertville, NJ and Michelle of Oakland, CA, son-in-law John Petach, and granddaughter Rachael Petach (husband Steve Quested), and her many beloved nieces and nephews.

A celebration of her life will be held among friends and family. We invite all to recognize her passing in their own way in the meantime. She preferred that no formal services be held.
