Mary Jo Wigman, 77, of Altoona, Pa, want home to be with her Lord at 8:57 AM, Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at the Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg, Pa. after a brief illness.
Mrs. Wigman was born in Butler, Pa. on November 16, 1939, daughter of the late William Lewis and Mary Edith (Weigle) Allen. She married Robert D. "Bob" Wigman August 11, 1962 at North Street Church of Christ, Butler, Pa. He died February 16, 2004. She retired in 2006 as a Teacher at Altoona Catholic School for several Years.
She was a member of Frist Church of Christ Altoona, Pa.
Mary Jo was a 1957 graduate of Butler Hight School and a 1963 gradate of Slippery Rock State College. She was a member of SMOG (St. Mary's Old Gang) and Retired Altoona Central Catholic Retired Teachers Group. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especilly her grandchildren and great grandchildren. bowling, embroidery and knitting.
She is survived by 4 sons and a daughter Robert A. (Emily) Wigman, of Roaring Spring, Pa; Richard A. Wigman, of Bellwood, Pa; Rodger A. Wigman, of Altoona, Pa.; Marilynn J. (John) Kristofits, of Lanse, Pa.; Michael A. (Angel) Wigman, of Columbia, Pa.; 13 grandchildren a brother Robert Allen Arlene, pf Pittsburgh, Pa.; Mary Jo was preceded in death by a brother William Allen.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Frist Church of Christ, Altoona, Pa at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 8, 2017 with Reverend John Collins officiating.
Friends will be received Sunday, Maty 7, 2017 from 4-7 Pm and Monday from 9-11 Am at Frist Church of Christ.
