Mrs. Jane Davidson

Mrs. Jane T. “Janie” Davidson of Garvey Manor, Hollidaysburg, Pa. died at 1:35 AM, Sunday, June 9, 2019 at Garvey Manor Nursing Home.

Mrs. Davidson was born in Altoona, Pa on June 8, 1927, daughter of the late Edward and Genevieve Ann (Conrad) Hallinan. She married James E. Davidson April 19, 1952 at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. He preceded her in death August 19, 2016.

Jane was a Homemaker. Previously she worked at Standard Brands and A&P Foods.

She was a member of Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament Altoona, Pa.

Jane was a 1945 graduate of Altoona Catholic High School and a graduate of Altoona School of Commerce. She was a member of LCBA, Christian Mothers, Columbian Circle and Catholic Daughters of America. She enjoyed visiting her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, bowling, plating cards traveling and participating in church activities at the Cathedral.

She is survived by 4 children Kathy G. (Greg) Clemens, of Altoona, James P. (Darlene) Davidson, of Mahaffey, Jane T. (Brian) Reifsteck, of Lexington, NC; and Sally Davidson of Altoona, Pa. Jane is survived by 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 6 siblings John Hallinan, Austin Hallinan, Patrick Hallinan, Joseph Hallinan, Thomas (Tim) Hallinan and Peggy Joyce.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Altoona, Pa at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 13, 2019 with Fr. David Roesch and Rev. Father James P. Davidson concelebrating.

Committal Rites will be held at Calvary Cemetery Altoona, Pa.

Friends will be received from 3-8 PM Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Jones Funeral Home where a Vigil For the Deceased will be held during the visitation.
