After her mothers passing in December 2000, she moved to Webster New York where she was cared for by  her brother David, his wife Anita and their family until 2002.  She then entered the Rochester NY. "Family Care" program where she resided with two separate, loving caregivers in their private homes.   While in Rochester, she kept busy by actively participating a day program, outings, church and, bingo.

In 2015, she relocated back to Altoona and lived briefly with her brother David, who returned the year prior.
