Rose Stefanon

Mrs. Rose A. Stefanon, 94, of Duncansville, Pa died at 4:30 AM Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Elmcroft of Altoona, after a brief illness.

Mrs. Stefanon was born in Dilltown, Pa on September 20, 1924, daughter of the late John and Catherine Kuzminsky. She married Attillio J. Stefanon September 28, 1946 at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, Pa. He died April 19, 2013.

She retired in 1982 as a Concession Operator at Blatt Bothers Theatres with 27 years of service. Rose was a member of Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament Altoona, Pa.

Rose was past member of St. Rose of Lima Christian Mothers and Summit Athletic Club. She enjoyed gardening and especially her African violets, roses and her large vegetable garden. She made excellent pigs in the blanket and lasagna. She participated in many activities at Elmcroft of Altoona where she resided. Her warm smile lit up a room.

She is survived by 2 sons Stephen J. (Marty) Stefanon and Dennis J. (Janice) Stepfanon, both of Altoona; 3 granddaughters Stephanie (Tony) Roefaro; Laura (Matt) Denaro and Magan (Matt) Kerwin; 4 great grandchildren Giovanna Roefaro; Alyssa Denaro; Aiden Kerwin; Conor Kerwin.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Altoona, Pa.

Committal Rites will be at Cslvary Cemetery Altoona, Pa.

Friends will be received from 5-8 PM Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Jones Funeral Home where a Vigil For the Deceased will be held during the visitation.
