Shirley Jane Millin, 88, Duncansville, formerly of Altoona, passed away Thursday at her home. She was born in Altoona daughter of the late Leonard Joseph and Goldie Bridget (McNulty) Farabaugh. She married John Russell Millin on Aug. 10, 1950 at Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Altoona and he preceded her in death on Jan. 17, 2011.
Surviving are a son, Richard and wife, Karen of Front Royal, Va.; two daughters, Linda Snyder and husband, Mark of Altoona, and Mary Ann Ferry and husband, Russell of Williamsburg; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; two sisters, Clare Riggle of New Jersey and Nancy Koehle and husband, Charles of Hollidaysburg.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald; a grandson, Ethan Millin; a brother, Earl Farabaugh; and two sisters, Helen Casey and Edith Yeagle.
Shirley was a 1948 graduate of Altoona High School and retired in 1991 as a customer service and sales representative at Butterick, Altoona after 24 years of service. She was also previously employed at Sylvania and William F. Gable Co., Altoona.
Shirley was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Lakemont.
She enjoyed playing cards and was a member of Horseshoe Seniors and Golden Nuggetts.
Friends will be received from 2-4pm Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017 at Jones Funeral Home, Altoona where a vigil for the deceased will be held during the visitation. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am on Mon., Nov. 20, 2017 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Lakemont, with Monsignor Michael Becker, celebrant.
Committal rites will be at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Grane Hospice 106 Zee Plaza, N. Juniata St. Hollidaysburg, PA 16648
