William Casey

Mr. William F. Casey Jr. 66 of Altoona, Pa, died at 1:44 PM, Saturday, December 20, 2014 at UPMC - Altoona, following an apparent heart attack.

Mr. Casey Jr. was born in Altoona, Pa. on October 9, 1948, son of the late William F. and Frances Isabelle (Rodkey) Casey Sr.

He retired as a clerk at US Postal Service Distribution Plant, Altoona, Pa. with 12 years of service. Previously he was a teacher in the Altoona Area School District.

He was of the Catholic Faith.

Bill was a 1966 graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle High School, attended Carolina Military Academy and graduated from East Tennesse State University in 1971 where he was All - American and was drafterd by the Philadelphia Eagles. He enjoyed golfing and fishing.

He is survived by a daughter Chantel M. Nese of Pittsburg, Pa. 2 grandchildren Nicholas M. and Ava J. Nese and 4 siblings Veronice Shaffer, of Abington, MA; Michael Casey, of Knoxville, TN; Patty Pielmeier, of Manassas, VA; and Kathleen Valentino, of Altoona, Pa. Bill was preceeded in death by 2 sister Rose Mary Grant and Mary Jo Smith.

At Bill's request there will be no visitation or service.
